Computer Graphics

Computer graphics tells us that what are the actual working of graphics. Computer Graphics remains one of the most existing and rapidly growing computer field. Computer Graphics as the pictorial representation or graphical representation of a computer.

Persistence

It is define as the time taken by the emitted light from the screen to decay to 1/10 of its original intensity is called persistence. High persistence required low refresh rate, and low persistence required high refresh rate. Low persistence screen are used for animation and the high persistence screen are used of static images.

Resolution

The no of pixels or points that can be displayed on the screen without overlap is called resolution. It can also be defined as no of pixel per square inch. For Example 800*600, 1024*768, 1900*1080.

Aspect Ratio

Its give the ratio of vertical points to horizontal points(pixel). Necessary to produce equal length line in both of direction. For Example 3:4 aspect ratio may mean 3 pixel vertical and 4 pixel horizontal are required to draw equal length line.

Cathode Ray Tube

Direct View Storage Tubes
Its store the picture information as charge distribution just behind the phosphor. Its using two types of guns
Primary Guns : - Its Used To Store The Picture Panel.
Secondary Guns : - Its Maintain The Picture Display.
Advantages And Disadvantages Of DVST
Advantages : - The Major Advantages Of This, No Refreshing Is Required And Complex Picture Can be Displayed Flicker.
Disadvantages : - The Disadvantage Of This type Of Monitor Is Selected Part Of The Picture Cannot be Erased. The Whole Picture has to be Redrawn Which Generally Takes A Lot Of Time That Is The Biggest Reasons Of Non Popularity Of These Types Of Devices.

Flat Panel Display
Flat panel display are two types
(1) Emissive (2) Non Emissive
Emissive : - Emissive display are those which convert electrical energy to light. For example 1. Plasma Panel Display 2. LED (Light Emitting Diode) 3. Thin Electroluminescent Devices.
Non Emissive : - Non Emissive use optional effects to convert sun light or light from any other sources to graphical pattern for example LCD(Liquid Crystal Display).
